ND4NP Guide Booklet

All over the world, young people are demanding actions to protect our planet and human beings. In 2020 a new global deal for nature and people has been adopted, setting targets for the protection and conservation of the planet’s biodiversity and ecosystems. It is of crucial importance that the voices of young people should be heard when these new targets are set, as this will affect not only the present generation, but also future generations and their livelihoods. In Africa, we want to ensure that the voices of young people are heard and their initiatives are highlighted. We have developed this booklet to engage youth by showcasing their local and community-based actions for the protection and sustainable use of biodiversity and ecosystems on the one hand, and for the promotion of good governance and a conflict-free Africa on the other.
